MONTESSORI: PLAYING IS THEIR JOB

PRESCHOOL

In Montessori education, playing is considered a job for children as it is a crucial part of their learning and development process. Montessori schools aim to provide a supportive environment that encourages children to explore and discover new things through play. This transition period from home to school is designed to help children feel comfortable and confident in their new surroundings. The early childhood education (ECE) facilities are equipped with various activities that stimulate children's curiosity and creativity in different subject areas such as science, language, mathematics, art, drama, music, and physical activity. The indoor and outdoor play areas are designed to provide a balance between quiet and loud play spaces, allowing children to engage in a variety of activities like playing games, building sandcastles, playing with water, and imaginative play.
