The Middle Years Program Curriculum is designed for students aged 11 to 16, typically covering grades 6 to 10. It aims to provide a challenging educational framework that encourages students to make practical connections between their studies and the real world.

  • 1. Curriculum Framework: The MYP curriculum is arranged into eight subject groups, including Language and Literature, Language Acquisition, Individuals and Societies, Sciences, Mathematics, Arts, Physical and Health Education, and Design. This helps students develop a broad skill set.

  • 2. Personal Project: In the final year of the MYP, students typically engage in a Personal Project, where they can pursue an interest or passion, integrating and applying what they've learned throughout their years in the program.

  • 3. Interdisciplinary Learning: The MYP encourages students to explore topics from multiple perspectives, promoting critical thinking and the ability to connect concepts across different subjects.

  • 4. Assessment: Assessment in the MYP is varied, including project-based assessments, exams, and performance tasks. Students receive feedback based on criteria set forth by the IB.

  • 5. Global Citizenship: The program emphasizes international-mindedness and encourages students to be active, compassionate, and lifelong learners who understand and respect different cultures.

  • 6. Service as Action: The MYP incorporates community service into the curriculum, allowing students to engage in real-world challenges and reflect on their impacts.

We ensure that students in these transitional years experience an inquiry-based, concept-driven approach that builds critical thinking, creativity, and global awareness. Our curriculum is designed to develop key skills and knowledge that prepare students for the challenges of advanced studies while maintaining alignment with our broader educational philosophy.
